Ingrown nails make one of the most common problems to cause discomfort. - Hydrogen Peroxide

To apply, mix half a cup of hydrogen peroxide to a small tub filled with water. Soak the infected nail in this solution for approximately twenty minutes. Apply this remedy at least two times a day to get complete relief.
This is another effective home remedy to treat ingrown nails. It also helps to reduce discomfort related to the problem, such as pain, swelling, and inflammation with its amazing antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, and pain relieving properties. To apply, prepare an application by mixing half teaspoon of turmeric powder with equal amount of mustard oil. Mix thoroughly and apply on the affected areas to get quick relief. Use a bandage to cover the application. Apply this remedy at least three times a day to get desired results.
- Tea Tree Oil
The antiseptic properties of tea tree oil make it an effective remedy for ingrown nails. It reduces the risk of infections and relieves pain as well. Simply mix one or two drops of tea tree oil with one tablespoon of carrier oil of your choice. Apply this mixture onto the affected areas and cover using a bandage. Apply this remedy at least three times a day for instant relief.
You can also go for oregano or lavender essential oil in lieu of tea tree oil. Stop the use of this remedy immediately in case of any type of itching.
- Apple Cider Vinegar
This is yet another effective home remedy for ingrown nails. Apple cider vinegar contains excellent antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties that help to alleviate the discomfort caused by the ingrown nail. Also, the mild acidic temperament of apple cider vinegar prevents infection. Simply mix together equal quantities of raw and unfiltered ACV and lukewarm water in a small bowl or tub. Soak the ingrown nail in the prepared solution for thirty minutes. Leave it to dry on its own.
- Warm Water Soak followed by cotton wedge
Soaking the ingrown nail in warm water helps to relieve discomforting symptoms quickly and easily. You can apply this remedy 2-3 times a day and get instant relief from symptoms like tenderness, pain, and swelling. Take the required quantity of warm water in a tub or bowl. Soak the ingrown nail in this tub for about half an hour. Let it dry naturally.
The next step is to place a cotton wedge beneath the affected nail. This helps the nail grow over the skin. Also, it provides relief from pain while simultaneously speeding up the healing process.
The first step in procedure to place the cotton wedge is to lift the affected nail cautiously with a pair of tweezers (make sure to use a blunt pair). Put a small, rolled bit of cotton amidst the skin and the nail. Make it a point to change the cotton after every soak. This is important to avoid any sort of infection.
